But the battery tops out around 6 hours per charge, so I’ve missed the last 20 minutes of podcasts on long flights because I forgot to put them back in the case. They’re also a pain on Android—no quick pairing, no easy battery check.

The Anker Soundcore Space One is the budget pick if you just need something decent. But the build feels cheap, the clamp is tight, and the sound lacks the clarity of the Sony. Fine for casual listening at your desk, not for long trips.
